SAFETY POINTS

Focus Four Hazards: Falls, electrocutions, struck-bys and caught-ins
Power line safety: Designate a spotter for equipment operators who cannot see power lines
Rollover safety: Always wear a seat belt and ride in the seat provided
Avoid Struck-bys: Always have audible back-up alarms and wear high-visibility clothing
Stack and store safety: Secure all loads and keep at least six ft back from edges
Power-actuated tool safety: Always insert the fastener before cocking the tool
Maintenance safety: Install and maintain all guards on tools and heavy equipment
Abrasive saw safety: Keep guards in place and wear eye protection
Dump-truck safety: Stay clear of dump trucks while they are dumping
Fall safety: Stay away from edges, face the edges and work from your knees
Ladder safety: Use both hands to climb a ladder and avoid the top two steps of a stepladder
Equipment safety: Use three-point contact at all times
